OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS WE’RE TALKING ABOUT THE DENIM JACKET, WHY IT’S A KEY WARDROBE PIECE AND HOW TO STYLE IT FOR THE CURRENT SEASON.
Last time we introduced you to this mini-series and kicked it off with a smart-casual outfit. Click here to view the post.
This time we’re going to show you how easily the Denim Jacket works for your off-duty/street style outfits.
If there’s one situation you can be sure of to wear your Denim jacket, it’s when you’re off the clock especially when it’s a light colour. In this situation you can also go for over-sized jacket styles that are bang on trend right now. In that case, your outfits will straight away have that 90’s nonchalant vibe to them.
“Why should I have a Denim jacket for my off-duty outfits?”
Denim is by nature a casual fabric which means if you’re wanting to dress down look no further. The Denim Jacket also acts as a wardrobe neutral, giving you more options to expand the amount of outfits you can create with what you already have. As mentioned in the last post, it’s also a in-between layer making it perfect by itself for warm days or a great outer layer with knitwear on cool days. It’s suitable for every season and every time of year.
You can get Anna Kate’s jacket, here.
Please note, the embroidery on her jacket is a personal addition.
// Give double denim a try with your pair of black skinny jeans
// Don’t have black skinnies? Give your black suit pants a go instead
// Wear your favourite sneakers – you can’t go wrong with this one
// If you’re just getting started go for a white or striped top for a guaranteed outfit win
// Add in an extra layer for texture and fun. Ours is this sheer metallic dress.
